Warm up your leg muscles before doing intense workouts with proper Leg Swings!
Get a great cardio warm up by doing Leg Swings! It’s an easy workout that stretches your hip muscles and joints as well as your calves. It also helps prevent injuries and reduces pain around your hip area when you do intense lower body workouts. Just follow the steps below to do this warm up!
How to Do Leg Swings
- Stand in an upright position. You can place your hands on your hips for balance or hold onto a railing or wall for more support.
- Swing one leg back and continue swinging it forward. If you swing your right leg back, your right arm should bend forward with your left arm bent to the back. When you swing your right leg forward, your right arm should bend back to your side with your left arm bent forward. Take note: you can increase your leg swing for more intensity, but be careful not to lose your balance. Do this for 30 seconds.
- Switch legs. Swing your other leg for another 30 seconds.
