How to Do the Downward-Facing Dog Leg Lift
- Begin in a Downward-Facing Dog Pose (link). Your arms and feet should be planted firmly on the ground.
- Slowly raise one of your legs behind you.
- Try to plant your other foot’s heel on the floor. Keep your arm straight. Feel the position stretching your leg muscles and hamstrings. Take note: try to maintain an equal amount of weight in both your arms.
- Hold the position and take deep breaths.
