How to Do the Child's Pose

Reduce stress and fatigue while stretching your hips, ankles and thighs with the Child’s Pose. This great yoga position relaxes your chest muscles while gently stretching your back muscles. It also relieves shoulder, neck and hip strain. To do this yoga pose, just follow these instructions!

How to Do the Child’s Pose

  1. Start by kneeling on the floor. Bring your feet together and sit on your heels.
  2. Sit with your knees as wide as your hips.
  3. Gently lower your chest forward. Keep your head gazing down. Try to  go as low as you can. You can do this while extending your arms forward on the floor or keeping your arms to your sides.
  4. Hold this pose and take deep breaths.
